Pergamon Museum & Spree Cruise, Berlin
|
Pergamon Museum: In the morning of our last full day in Berlin we visited the Pergamon
Museum, located on an island in the Spree, featuring ancient Greek and Mideastern artistic
treasures. The Pergamon is generally regarded as Berlin's top museum. A great place to visit!

Spree Cruise: After our visit to the fabulous Pergamon Museum we went on a one-hour boat
cruise on the Spree, the river which flows through Berlin. It was Sunday and a beautiful
warm sunny day, The shoreline was lined by many modern government buildings, a shoreline
path, and occasional small parks. Below are a few snapshots.

After the end of our Spree cruise Virginia and I again strolled down the Unter den Linden
boulevard, through the Brandenburg Gate, through part of the large Tiergarten park and
visited the Sony (described and illustrated on the preceding page).
In the evening our group walked top a Bavarian-style restaurant near our hotel for our
farewell dinner.
