Family Visit
1 June  2008
We skipped the all-day group excursion to Catherine's Palace and Peterhof scheduled for
this day and instead visited the relatives with whom we had so much enjoyed our 2001 visits
in the St. Petersburg and Moscow areas.
Our son's Russian-born wife, Lilian, arranged to have her friends  pick us up from the
"Kronstadt" and drive us to the apartment of Lilian's  uncle and aunt.  We were very glad to
see them again.  Sadly  Uncle Gena two years ago had a stroke which has made his speech
unintelligible but he greeted us very enthusiastically, as did his wife Galia.
Lilian's friends Tonya and Slava,
whom we were glad to see again.
Lilian's Uncle Gena seated, Aunt Galia on the left, Virginia on the right.

At the end of our visit Tonya and Slava drove us back to our ship, which sailed from St.
Petersburg that evening.
