Gwalior

Our train from Haridwar arrived in Gwalior in the late evening. We checked into the Hotel
Gwalior Regency , the most luxurious hotel of our journey so far. We were very pleased that
despite our late arrival we still were able to have a good dinner in the hotel's pleasant dining
room.
The following morning we slept late, had a breakfast snack in our room, did our laundry,
bathed, relaxed, and got re-organized.
After lunch we took a autorickshaw taxi to Gwalior Fort, one of the largest and most
impressive fortifications in India. The main purpose of our going to Gwalior was to visit
that fort. After visiting the fort we took a walk through nearby parts of this interesting

Next morning we got on the 10:50am train headed toward Jhansi and Orcha, our next
destination.
