| Outline of our Itinerary |
From the USA we flew to Nairobi, Kenya. From there we drove about 200 KM (120 miles) north to
the Mt. Kenya National Park area.
Our next drive was back south about 400 KM (250 miles) to visit Amboseli National Park, on the
border with Tanzania.
From Amboseli we drove NW for an hour or two to the town of Namanga, where we crossed the
border into Tanzania near Mount Kilimanjaro and continued through the town of Arusha to Tarangire
National Park, shown on the map below, a van ride of about six hours.
The next leg of our trip was a short one Gibb's Farm located between Tarangire and Manyara Parks
both shown on the map below.
Our next move was to Norongoro Crater a short distance NW of Manyara.
From the Norongoro Crater we drove a few hours to Serengeti National Park, from where we also
made a day-trip to the town of Mwanza on the shore of Lake Victoria.
From Serengeti we flew to the town of Arusha, from where departed for our flight home to the USA.
