Kuching, Borneo, Malaysia (continued from previous page)
Touring Kuching we were amazed at how clean, modern and well-to-do the city looked.
Well-paved streets, solid concrete houses, architecturally advanced public buildings,
attractive monuments, well-maintained parks, consistently obeyed traffic lights, no litter, no
garbage, no graffiti, no wandering animals, no jalopies, no rickshaws, no hawkers, no begging,
no shacks; a city in which it seems safe to walk the streets and parks at any time.

Passing Kuching's Old Court House Building we saw this group of Malaysians dancing in the courtyard.

Above are two of the statues of cats. The cat is the symbol/mascot for the city of Kuching.
