Mandrogi
2 June 2008
At about noon our ship arrived at Mandrogi, a recently constructed pseudo-village, a
collection of buildings intended to imitate traditional north-Russian architecture.  It is a
mini theme park consisting mainly of souvenir shops and a few demonstrators showing some
handicrafts being made.   Some of the buildings, though unauthentic, were amusing.
After an hour or two of wandering
through the buildings we were served a
rustic Russian-style barbecue lunch.

After lunch another cruise ship pulled up
to the dock, disgorging an additional 250
or so tourists.
At about 4:00pm our ship sailed, none-too-soon.
