Petra (Jordan) to Cairo (Egypt) --- 4 March 2006

In the morning we relaxed at the Petra Marriot Hotel, had lunch there, and in the afternoon
took the three to four hour drive north on the Desert Highway to Amman's international
airport for our 7:40pm flight to Cairo, where we arrived shortly after 9:00pm.
At the Cairo airport we were met by Hisham, who was to be our tour escort and guide for the
Egyptian portion of our trip. We transferred by bus to the Movenpick Heliopolis Hotel,
conveniently located next to the Cairo airport. We had a late dinner at the hotel.
